How can a day marked by sadness, fasting, and destruction appropriately be a part of a camp, and what should observance in camp look like? Learn about Tisha B’Av and how to create meaningful and educational programs for all ages.  Did you know there’s another holiday in Av that makes for a great and fun camp program? The second half of the call will introduce Tu B’Av, the Jewish holiday of love, and we’ll brainstorm together to generate a list of Tu B’Av activities to implement this summer!

*TAG: Jewish Values through JCC Camping® is a curricular initiative designed to help JCC campers and staff explore issues of daily living through a Jewish lens. TAG develops discrete Jewish content and programming units for day and resident camps, finding ways to integrate Jewish life, experience, and values into the fabric of camp. (TAG has also been effective in afterschool and other youth programming.) Each initiative has drama, discussion, games, art, music, storytelling, and Jewish text study components.
