Donors
The Mandel Center for Jewish Education is underwritten
by a generous grant from the Mandel Foundation. This
grant enables MCJE to undertake important initiatives
to enhance and increase Jewish living and learning experiences
in the JCC world.
In addition, the Mandel Center for Jewish Education
would like to express gratitude to the AVI CHAI
Foundation for its generous grant, which funds
the following fellowship programs: 1. Lekhu Lakhem:
Jewish and Educational Journeys for JCC Resident Camp
Directors (now going on its second cohort of directors)
and 2. Hemshekh: A Program of Continuing Jewish Learning
and Growth for Lekhu Lakhem Cohort I Alumni.
MCJE would like to thank the George Blumenthal
Foundation, which sponsors the “Lighting
Shabbat Candles with our Ancestors” and “Touching
Torah” units of the TAG initiative. It would also
like to extend thanks to The Coca-Cola
Company®, whose generous grant for the
Days of Sharing and Caring program has made possible
several Jewish values-based TAG initiatives.
In addition, MCJE is grateful for the generous grant
from the Goodman Family Foundation for creating Yisrael
Sheli (My Israel): a Teen Program of Israel Education
and Experience for JCC Residents Camps, which will be
piloted in the summer of 2008.
