IThe Jewish Outreach Institute seeks to empower and help the
Jewish community welcome and fully embrace unengaged, unaffiliated
and intermarried Jews and their families into Jewish life.
JOI seeks to be a resource and advocate, dedicated to raising
awareness in the Jewish community of opportunities inherent
in welcoming individuals, couples and families impacted on
by interfaith marriage.
JOI strives to build the profession of Jewish outreach to
interfaith families through research and the dissemination
of best practices and other educational materials.
JOI creates and provides material, intellectual and moral
support to Jewish communal institutions and professionals
seeking to welcome interfaith couples.
JOI connects interfaith families with the Jewish community
through the development of programs such as referral networks,
community-based affinity groups and the Internet, as well
as through models of direct service.
