JCCs of North America Fantasy Football Challenge
The JCCs of North America Fantasy Football Challenge gives JCCs the opportunity to participate in a 13-week fantasy football challenge hosted by JCC Association. As a turnkey program, The Challenge offers JCCs an innovative way to engage existing JCC members, attract new members from the community, and take part in a friendly competition against other JCCs across the continent. The Challenge also offers JCCs an opportunity to develop staff cohesion, to do some fundraising, and to plan on-site events related to The Challenge, such as draft night parties or game watch nights.
All affiliated JCCs can “opt in” at the start of the summer and spend four to six weeks recruiting teams to play on their behalf. A point person, or JCC coach, works closely with JCC Association; we provide marketing materials, press releases, templates, and social media avenues as well as advice and best practices for recruiting teams and hosting events. For every team that a JCC recruits, a portion of that team’s registration proceeds is given back to the JCC at the end of the season. JCC Association supplies prizes through the generosity of sponsors and vendors.
Fantasy football is an interactive competition in which participants select professional football players on draft night for an imaginary team. These teams are grouped into leagues, which compete in weekly head-to-head matches. Teams earn points based on the performance of individual players in their real-life, real-season NFL games.
We coordinate the teams into leagues, provide them with ESPN.com league log in information, and act as a resource for teams, leagues and JCC coaches throughout the season.
In addition, we organize prizes for grand, second, third, lottery, weekly and league winners and communicate each week with all teams and JCC coaches via e-mail.
