JCC Association is the place to turn for training staff at all levels. From New Professional’s Orientations to Executive Director Leadership Seminars, JCC Association has it all.

Regional Conferences offered throughout the year bring staff together to learn on a variety of topics. Half day and full day workshops on specific topics such as Supervision, Customer Service, Internal Communications offer staff the opportunity to enhance their skills and gain valuable connections to their colleagues in the field.

Title: Financial Resource Development Seminar

Description: This two day seminar will be open to all Development Department Professionals, Executive Directors, Assistant Executives and Board Chairs and is the first of number seminars to take place within the USA. Description: Save the date for our Second Annual Gathering of Arts and Culture Professionals at the JCC Association which will take place following the closing of the APAP Conference in New York City, on Tuesday January 14th, 2014.

 

Last year over 40 Arts and Culture Professionals gathered in our office for a day of focused resource sharing, with larger sessions and smaller break-out sessions (which were curated with your input), as well as plenty of time for meeting and casual catch ups.  This year, we will again gather together to discuss topics that are important to you.

Title: Kivunim – A New Executive Directors Seminar

Description: The JCC Association Mandel Center for Jewish Education and our Mandel Center for Excellence in Leadership and Management are collaborating to host a special seminar for first-time JCC executives, who have been in their position for two years or less. It will conclude in time for you to join your colleagues at the Executive Leadership Seminar.  The seminar is designed to increase your understanding of Jewish life and learning, and will use the shared Shabbat experience to help contribute to your identification of your role as a Jewish educator and  JCC Executive Director, as well as provide an opportunity to strengthen your collegial network.

Note: To support your camp/JCC’s participation in a regional TAG seminar, a reimbursement of up to $400 is available for transportation and hotel, where necessary.

 

Description:  See and interact with the new TAG materials for summer 2014 – including our unit on diversity – so you can bring them back to your particular setting. Learn from and with Mandel Center for Jewish Education trainers and other JCC camp/youth professionals for this interactive day.

 

*TAG: Jewish Values through JCC Camping® is a curricular initiative designed to help JCC campers and staff explore issues of daily living through a Jewish lens. TAG develops discrete Jewish content and programming units for day and resident camps, finding ways to integrate Jewish life, experience, and values into the fabric of camp. (TAG has also been effective in afterschool and other youth programming.) Each initiative has drama, discussion, games, art, music, storytelling, and Jewish text study components.
