JCC ASSOCIATION STAFF AND SERVICES
President and Chief Executive Officer
Responsible for giving overall professional leadership to JCC Association and the JCC Movement by working with the chair, officers, and board of JCC Association, along with presidents and executives of local JCCs. Represents JCC Association and JCCs to key organizations in the North American Jewish community, along with major foundations and donors. Also works directly with some communities, focusing mainly on planning and management, and issues of visioning and positioning the JCC in the community.
Coordinator of Board Relations
Assists the president and board chair in the performance of their duties; serves as a liaison between officers and board leadership and the Association. Coordinates all meetings of the JCC Association Board of Directors.
Consults with all communities to enhance the functioning of JCC boards, executives, and staff. Provides JCCs with ongoing training in areas such as lay leadership development, staff development, programming, finances, etc. Helps JCCs improve their services by conducting research, gathering statistical data, and strategic planning studies, developing annual work plans, and providing seminars for management and lay leaders.
Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Excellence in Leadership & Management
Is transforming the field by allowing JCCs to assess their management effectiveness and leadership needs, to be more responsive to difficulties as they arise, and develop a practical approach towards continuous self-improvement over time. MCELM is helping JCCs meet the challenges of the future with confidence and proficiency.

Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer
Responsible for overseeing all of JCC Association’s financial and investment transactions and preparation of financial statements; billing and collection of member JCC dues; acquisition and deployment of technology, including computer hardware and software; office administration including document production and distribution.
Responsible for the company’s accounting practices, the conduct of its relationships with lending institutions and the financial community, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports.

Responsible for human resources administration including all aspects of payroll and payroll taxes, and coordination of all employee benefits and corporate insurance.

Manager, Information Technology
Plans, organizes, and oversees the operations and administration of JCC Association’s computer hardware and software systems; designs and implements databases; responsible for technical maintenance of the website; provides technical advice, information, and assistance to create an environment for employees to work in an efficient manner.
Associate, Information Technology
Assists the IT manager in operating and maintaining JCC Association’s hardware and software systems. Responsible for manning the software help desk, network maintenance, operating system, and database maintenance. Additional duties include assessing staff training needs and developing appropriate training programs.
Supervisor, Production and Facilities
Supervises all JCC Association printing and mailings; works with vendors to purchase all office supplies; oversees office repairs and maintenance; attends to tenant needs, including photocopying, printing, and mailing, and acts as the liaison with the building management.
Production Assistant and Front Desk
Serves as liaison for mail service and other departments. Runs postage and prepares outgoing mail for pick-up. Delivers office supplies throughout the agency, inventory and mailing supplies, printing needs and all other duties as assigned.

Services as liaison for shipping service and other departments. Tracks and maintains records of shipments. Maintains kitchen, conference rooms and all other duties as assigned.
Financial Resource Development
Is responsible for JCC Association’s fundraising efforts, including annual support and designated giving, JCC Associates, grant-seeking, corporate sponsorship and preferred vendor programs, special events and the capital and endowment campaign.
Interim Director of Financial Resource Development
Directs the agency’s fundraising initiatives to support the annual fund and signature programs. Develops strategic plans to build and diversify JCC Association’s private revenues to maintain and strengthen programs. Provides support for the Board Financial Resource Development Committee to maximize opportunities to reach new donors and increase levels of current support.
Director of Research, Grants and Foundations
Expands research of potential foundation grants and major donors and serves as grant writer.

Responsible for planning, implementing and growing individual giving campaigns.

Responsible for the day to day coordination of the donor database, using social media to develop a grassroots fundraising strategy, and building a network of alumni.
JCC Association’s Israel Office
Represents the interests of North American JCCs and provides services for them in Israel. It also implements Israel-based Jewish educational programs including training seminars for JCC professional staff and lay leaders, JCC Maccabi Israel experience programs for teens, partnership initiatives between JCCs and community centers in Israel, and creates specialized Israel trips for JCC members.
Vice-President, JCC Association Israel Office
Represents the interests of JCC Association and North American JCCs in Israel and works to develop collaborative ventures with the JCC Movement’s partners in Israel. Works to make the rich public Jewishness of Israel more accessible to JCCs, to develop Israel as a Jewish educational experience, and to create opportunities for North American and Israeli community leaders, professionals, and members to build meaningful ties with one another. Coordinates partnership projects between JCCs and Israeli matnasim (community centers).

JWB Jewish Chaplains Council
Is a US Government-accredited agency to serve the religious, educational, and morale needs of Jewish personnel in the armed forces, their families, and patients in VA hospitals. Its Council Advisory Group consists of Conservative, Orthodox, and Reform rabbis and active-duty Jewish chaplains, a cooperative and successful venture in Jewish pluralism.

Heads JWB Jewish Chaplains Council and JCC Association Armed Forces and Veterans Services Committee. Recruits rabbis to serve in the armed forces and veterans affairs chaplaincies. Directs professional training conferences and lay leadership workshops. Advises the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs on matters of Jewish Welfare in the Armed Forces and at Veterans Hospitals. Visits US Armed Forces bases and installations worldwide.

Works with JCC Association’s 90 Jewish military lay leaders, coordinates the annual JWB conference, and is the point person for new initiatives involving the provision by JCCs of programs and services for current and returning Jewish military personnel and their families.

The Mandel Center is funded by a generous grant from the Mandel Foundation.
