Update on Hurricane Sandy and JCCs

We know that you have all been reading about–or living through–the effects of Hurricane Sandy, and we wanted to share with you what we have learned about the JCCs in the immediate area of the storm, and those a little farther away. Almost all of our JCCs are open and serving their communities; some have had structural damage and will need significant repair. We are hearing amazing stories about what JCC professionals have been doing, and we are deeply grateful to them for their extraordinary dedication. This is an ongoing story; we will be living with the aftereffects of the storm for a while. Allan Finkelstein has recorded a video message to let you know what’s happening.

We know that many of you want to help, and we thank you for that. JFNA has established a special fund for the victims of Hurricane Sandy for those who want to donate.
