The Macks Center for Jewish Education invites you to a screening of How Jack Became Black for Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month. This groundbreaking documentary features the challenge of Eli Steele, a Deaf man born to a black father and a Jewish mother, who is stunned when his son is denied enrollment to an elementary school for refusing to check a race box. The film challenges the notion of “Identity Politics” and its impact on society.
Open captions will be provided.
We welcome participants of all abilities. If you need any special accommodations, please contact Rachel Turniansky [email protected].
