JEWISH DISABILITY AWARENESS AND INCLUSION MONTH YOUTH HAVDALAH
This February, the Denver Jewish community is celebrating Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month (JDAIM) and we are focusing on the theme of chronic illness and pain. In this event, geared toward kids ages 7 and up, we will explore what it is like to have chronic illness and pain using Spoon Theory. We will play a game, create and celebrate Havdalah (the end of Shabbat).
Date: Saturday, Feb. 12
Time: 6:30-7:30pm MST
Location: Zoom
The program is free to attend, but in the spirit of the theme of chronic illness awareness, we encourage you to make a donation to Morgridge Academy to support youth living with chronic illness.
Morgridge Academy is a free, Colorado Department of Education approved facility school which serves children in kindergarten through eighth grade who have been diagnosed with a chronic illness. Morgridge Academy is the only school of its kind on a medical campus in the country, and its mission is to provide a safe, friendly, and healthy school environment committed to whole-child development.
