Target audience: overnight camp professionals
Description: In this interactive webinar, overnight camp professionals will be invited to bring their hopes and concerns about transgender inclusion at camp. Keshet will use the Jewish value of B’Tzelehm Elohim — In God’s Image — as a basis for inclusion, as well as sharing examples of gender diversity in Jewish tradition . Additionally, we will discuss terminology specific to the transgender community, and address the concerns and challenges faced by transgender individuals, particularly transgender youth, as expressed in their own words. We will end our conversation with best practices and tools that overnight camp professionals can use in order to make their facilities more inclusive for transgender overnight campers.
