Jewish Film Mavens to Meet in Manhattan in June

JCC Association is partnering with the JCC in Manhattan, the Foundation for Jewish Culture, and several other like-minded organizations to host the first Jewish Film Presenters Conference. The conference will take place June 5 and 6, 2011, at the JCC in Manhattan, and will be attended by JCC film professionals from across the continent, as well as other Jewish film presenters. The two-day agenda is packed, and promises to be a true exchange of resources, ideas and information.

Since so many JCCs offer their communities the chance to see exceptional and rarely seen feature films and documentaries through Jewish film festivals, JCC Association is eager to help film presenters share ideas and resources and make festivals more affordable. The conference will offer attendees the chance to meet distributors, collaborate on programming, learn about online resources, and share ideas on fundraising. One session will deal with an increasingly pressing matter–how to tackle controversial and divisive issues.

For more information please call Randy Lutterman, consultant, arts, culture and ideas, at JCC Association at (212) 786-5123. For schedule information and to register, please visit http://www.israelfilmcenter.org/conference_agenda
