ASAP’s Camp Safety Program provides simple, practical, and affordable online abuse-prevention training for summer camps. The program, endorsed by the American Camp Association, enables camp directors to take control of the process and be proactive, preparing their camp in advance to uphold best practice standards of prevention. The innovative online video-based program provides clear standards of behavior communicated in a format that will speak to staff and enable them to confidently prevent inappropriate and abusive behavior. The program provides a management toolkit (including screening and monitoring guidelines), online animated staff training and testing that is completed before camp, sexual harassment and abuse-prevention guidelines, and ASAP Camp Certification to be shared with the camp family and community.
The process is simple:
1. Director takes the Director’s Course
2. Staff takes the Counselor Training Course
3. Camp Receives ASAP CSP Certification
