Kathy Pomer

Kathy Pomer is a vice president of JCC Association and director of its Sheva Center for Innovation in Early Childhood Education and Engagement, where she oversees all aspects of the early childhood department. A longtime early childhood educator, Pomer has served as a classroom teacher, administrator, mentor, program designer, and consultant. Guiding her work are two foundational beliefs: educators and learners are competent and capable, and early childhood Jewish education is the portal through which children, families, and educators will build a society that reflects our most deeply held values. Pomer and her husband, Jim, live outside Washington, D.C. Their grown children are thriving and happy and busy making the world a better place.
