Chani Kolan

Chani Kolan is the education and operations lead for JCC Association of North America. Based in Israel, she works with JCC shlichim (emissaries) and for the Mit-habrim grant project, a partnership between JCC Association and the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism. She has worked in Jewish education for more than 10 years and through the Jewish Agency, previously served as the community shlicha for the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County in Florida. Kolan also has worked with Birthright, various youth movements and gap-year programs, and as the director of a student village. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and education and a master’s degree in Jewish peoplehood studies. Recently, Kolan volunteered with Lev-Echad in Ukraine, where she worked with refugees, and with IsraAID, working with evacuees from Kibbutz Be’eri.
