| Mazal Tov, Alan Solow
We're delighted to report that the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations nominated our chair, Alan P. Solow, to serve as its chairman. James S. Tisch, chair of the Nominating Committee, noted that the committee had to choose from a list of highly qualified candidates, but Solow's long commitment to Jewish communal life made him an outstanding choice. Solow's term will end at the end of May, 2010.

MCJE Director David Ackerman will lead the seminar, and the group will look at the founding of Israel as well as its current status, both domestically and internationally. Read more about MCJE
