“Behold how good and pleasant it is when all people live together as one.”
— Psalm 133
Guided by the wise words of the Psalmist, JCC Association of North America commits to build, nurture, and elevate a culture of belonging in which we welcome, recognize, and celebrate people of all abilities and identities in accessible, safe settings throughout the JCC Movement.

JCC Association’s Eight Guiding Principles on Inclusion are foundational to the work of the JCC Movement. Rooted in Jewish values, they provide a shared language and direction to these vitally important endeavors. The principles originally were developed as a collaborative effort among JCC Association staff, leaders in the field, and external partners and professionals, including people with lived experience of disability. Although these principles were created specifically for the inclusion of people with disabilities, their core values are universally applicable to all areas of inclusion.

To bring the Guiding Principles to life in an engaging and accessible way, we worked with artist Sharoni Sibony to develop a series of posters to represent each of the 8 principles. These beautiful illustrations, videos and more resources are available to communities though the JCC Resource Center.
