Nobody expected we’d be where we are today. COVID-19 has created a whole new set of issues, dynamics, and concerns for all of us. As we continue to monitor the evolving realities, we have decided not to proceed with plans for JCCs of North America JSummit, May 3-5, 2020.
We remain steadfastly devoted to supporting our JCCs (Jewish Community Centers and Jewish Community Camps), as well as their members and constituents. To that end, in times of uncertainty, it is important that lay and professional leaders can be physically present in their JCCs and their home communities.
JSummit is our movement’s premier lay and executive leadership conference and the largest such gathering on the continent. We are duly proud of this remarkable platform and the insights and inspiration an outstanding conference brings to the field. Our colleagues and partners in the great city of Milwaukee threw open their arms to us and have been working tirelessly in anticipation of rolling out the red carpet in May. We deeply regret that circumstances beyond our control make it impossible for us to enjoy their extraordinary hospitality.
And, it would have been a program to remember. In the coming weeks and months, we will explore opportunities to bring elements of the program and some JSummit components to light in other ways. Once the COVID-19 crisis is behind us, we will renew our efforts to provide resources and networking opportunities—with peers, colleagues, and partner organizations—to you through other means.
In the near future, we will have information available about how to cancel your hotel reservation and arrange a refund of your conference registration fee. In the meantime, we ask for your patience and that you refrain from calling the hotel directly. We are working with our partner— the Hilton Milwaukee City Center—on cancellation arrangements, and we will be in touch as soon as that information is available.
Although we won’t be together physically this spring, we remain extremely grateful for your willingness to participate in this gathering and to partner with us to strengthen the JCC Movement and North American Jewish life.

May we go from strength to strength.
